FRI. FEBRUARY 10
The Winter Olympics are starting!
Oh, yeah, I have to write about food.
Okay, breakfast. Lee made Hamburger Helper for the kids last night while I was out, and there was a tiny bit left, so I had about 1/2 c. of leftover Hamburger Helper.
Then Lee later had a two-for-one coupon at Quiznos, so he got me a tuna and Swiss sandwich w/ tomato and lettuce -- unfortunately on wheat bread, which I really don't like. Give me the pucker of sourdough or rye every time. Oh well.
As I got ready to go out and run errands and be a Brownie leader, and as I was cleaning up the kitchen, I threw out the remainders of my birthday cake -- and I confess to eating 3 bites of cake before I threw it out.
Once again, the snack mom didn't bring enough snack for the Brownie leaders, but a couple of girls were absent so we each got half a Krispy Kreme glazed donut (pretty shocking to bring donuts for Brownies, actually, but the girls didn't seem to mind).
For dinner I was going to make baked chicken w/ a honey-mustard sauce, but when I got home, after horrible traffic (and with the Winter Olympics about to start!!!), I just didn't feel like doing any real cooking. So I made spaghetti. I had a bowl of spaghetti w/ meat sauce and Parmesan.
And right now they're raising the Italian flag because THE WINTER OLYMPICS ARE STARTING!!! (I really like the Winter Olympics. Could you tell?)
I think there's a couple of sugar-free popsicles in my future tonight -- you know, in honor of all the ice at the WINTER OLYMPICS! (And you know, if I wasn't writing this down, it would probably be ice cream. Guilt is a wonderful thing.)
Okay, that's it for today. Tomorrow I have an Act One board meeting and "a light lunch will be served." Which could mean anything.
Home tomorrow night -- thank goodness, because the Winter Olympics will be on!!
