TUESDAY, JAN. 3
I fasted through breakfast and lunch today, though I did have a couple of bites of Lee's chicken pie (which he ate instead of having the leftover curry-broccoli-chicken thingie I made last night. Do all men forget about leftovers? Just wondering.)
I had to do some last minute errands -- and I indeed kept them to the last minute, so as to not have extra time for temptations (like, say, fast food).
For dinner, we kept it simple and had spaghetti w/ meat sauce, with plenty of Parmesan. Somehow spaghetti is one of those things I hardly ever get tired of. Maybe my body craves vitamin C, and responds to the tomato sauce, who knows.
Lee offered to get me ice cream for dessert, but we have an embarrassment of desserts at the moment, thanks to Christmas. Among the treats that we received were Cranberry Bliss Bars from Starbucks. I regret oh so deeply that whoever gave them to us didn't bother to put a gift tag on them, so we haven't a clue who they're from. I regret this because I would like to be wishing them bliss with every bite. I'm sure they're one of the things that "only happen once a year," as the very clever Starbucks ads say ("Men decorate!"... "Coworkers dance!"... etc.)
Tomorrow is a day of some temptation, as I have to drive to the Valley, and will have time, no one in the car with me, and money in my pocket. But I will be good. Really. I will.
Till tomorrow then....

I don't know if all men forget about leftovers but personally, I don't like to eat the same dish two nights in a row. So I guess I want to forget about it for a night. Though I do make a Sante Fe Soup, that I like better as leftovers than I do the first night I make it.
