TUES. MAY 2
Yesterday (Tues.) was a non-writing day -- the first such weekday I've had in a long time! I almost didn't know what to do with myself!
Lee offered to get me a Jamba Juice in the morning, but I didn't want what I consider to be fairly empty calories without the specific need for an energy boost, so I passed. For lunch Lee heated up the leftovers of our fish-&-chips dinner from the night before. I had 1 1/2 pieces of fish w/ appx 2 T. of tartar sauce.
Because our kids are in the middle of their standardized testing week, I wanted to make sure they were eating well -- lots of protein, lots of energy, etc. Sending heavy snacks to school for them every day, which I usually don't do (cheese and crackers, peanut butter, etc.). So for dinner I made meat loaf and scallopped potatoes and salad. The meat loaf was a big hit w/ Cory, not so w/ Sabrina. Later, Lee made me a rather too big bowl of Moose Tracks ice cream.
Maybe tonight will be fish -- brain food, they always say...
